Mary C. Ries
Mary C. Ries, age 90, of Troy, Ohio passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at 8:00PM at Koester Pavilion, Troy, Ohio. Mary was born on November 13, 1921 in Dayton, Ohio to the late John and Matilda (Boeckman) Nadalsky. She was married to Robert E. Ries who preceded her in death on April 22, 1985.
Mary is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert E. and Dorothy Ries Jr. of Beavercreek, Ohio; daughters and sons-in-law: Clara and Phil Bowyer of Arcanum, Ohio, MaryAnn and William E. Tegeler of Covington, Ohio, Susanne and Carl Cox of Christiansburg, Ohio, and Ruth and Charles Gibson of New Carlisle, Ohio; twelve grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Mary was preceded in death by her sister, Clara Schindler; her brothers: Edward, Albert, and Louis Nadalsky; and her daughter-in-law, Glenda Ries.
Mary was a graduate of Northridge High School. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy, Ohio where she served on the Rosary Guild and the Bereavement Committee as well as volunteering in the St. Patrick school cafeteria for over 26 years.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 409 East Main Street, Troy, Ohio with Rev. Father Eugene Vonderhaar officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00PM on Friday, August 31, 2012 at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio.
