Miriam K. Tucker
Miriam K. Tucker, age 84, of Troy, Ohio passed away at 8:00PM on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. She was born on December 27, 1927 in Troy to the late David Wilbur and Emma Francis (Collins) Petry. She was married to Noland E. "Eddie" Tucker and he preceded her in death in May of 1997.
She is survived by her two sons, Mark Douglas Smith of Troy and Ty Noland Tucker of Troy; two daughters and a son-in-law, Kathy Swearingin of Vandalia, Ohio and Debby and Jim Brown of Piqua; one brother, Bud Petry of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania; two sisters-in-law, Ellen and Gladys Tucker of Troy; eight grandchildren: Brian and Brad Swearingin, Justin, Ben and Jake Smith, Rachel Matthes and Trey and Kyle Tucker; three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Rabada.
She was a lifelong resident of Troy and a 1946 graduate of Troy High School.
Mrs. Tucker was a homemaker and a member of the First United Church of Christ, Troy, Troy Senior Citizens, Classic Ladies and the Widows Club.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, May 11, 2012 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy with interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Friends may call from 12-2PM on Friday at the funeral home.
